We commissioned Stockport artist Vivian Lally Art to tell the story of Eric Haydock of The Hollies. Born Eric John Haddock in Portwood, he was a founder member of The Hollies, famous for playing a Fender six-string bass. In the 1990’s, Eric managed the ‘Rhythm House Music Centre’ at 22 Middle Hillgate.

We commissioned Stockport artist Vivian Lally Art to tell the story of Eric Haydock of The Hollies. Born Eric John Haddock in Portwood, he was a founder member of The Hollies, famous for playing a Fender six-string bass. In the 1990’s, Eric managed the ‘Rhythm House Music Centre’ at 22 Middle Hillgate. In 2010, The Hollies were inducted into the ‘Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’. The Eric Haydock story is depicted on a Stockport Music Story Commemorative Plaque on The Red Bull, Middle Hillgate, one of Eric’s favourite watering holes. This commemorative print is a limited edition available in A4 and A3 sizes.
