Description
The Beatles played to a packed house of screaming fans at The Palace Theatre Club, Offerton on Thursday 13th June 1963 when the group had just achieved their first number one record with ‘From Me To You’. This appearance was booked before The Beatles’ were a household name and was honoured by Brian Epstein despite them being able to command a much larger fee. It turned out to be one of the very last of The Beatles’ intimate club gigs as global stardom beckoned.
